I seriously hate when this happens
Earlier in the week I planned on getting my
workout in early to of course start my day
with power..
The kicker here..
I slept in
Possibly from finishing off a long work day
and than indulging on a couple episodes of
Narcos…
(crazy show btw, more on this later)
However, I digress
I felt like a failure, like my whole day was
thrown off
Hard keeping focused on my entire plan for
the rest of the day
You been there?
I’m not spilling this to you to praise all
about training.
I have those day where at best I can tolerate
it
When stress takes over
Mind is going in a thousand different
directions
Just like I’m sure you go through from time
to time
but I also refuse to feel like crap
So yeah..even with the hard days..I still get
it in
Reminds me of the busy guys within the lfit
elite
They’ll hit an all time high, then LIFE hits
them hard
and they feel like giving up
So why if we want it so bad do we end up
giving up?
It comes down to this
When we don’t do the very actions we said we
would do we feel like we can’t do anything we
say
It challenges our own beliefs within
ourselves
‘This happened at work, so I feel defeated’
or
‘Relationship stress is making it tough for
me to focus’
So how can we keep the belief within
ourselves and stay on FIRE (in a good way
amigo)
Easy
Stop trying to conquer everything at once
Start small..and WIN big
What do I mean
If someone tells me they’ve had a tough week
or there’s external stress that’s holding
them back
I simply have them cut back on a few things
Could be on the overall days they train
or
The overall days they stick with nutrition
Making it so ‘easy’ there really is no chance
for failure
I would rather someone conquer at a few small
things
Then have them shoot for the stars and barley
accomplish anything
This is the same stuff I teach to all my
guys within the Lost Elite to overcome
struggles and obtain sustainable results

and to settle things down 5-10 min of
mediation each morning can have you more
focused and ready for what ever hell might
come at you that day (no kumbaya chants needed)
Brett’s a go giver and puts himself first
before anyone
Which is an incredible quality
However, if he doesn’t take time for himself

Eventually when stress is at an all time
high, he will break..
I’m stoked for him, as he’s already moving in

After a wet n’ wild weekend
(literally)
I had plenty of time to think
(yup, just so happens I do that from time to
time)
About a past experience I had with a client..
This was years back
and the guy had the determination to finally
turn his life around
He had reached the point of no return..
Where the pain of him actually doing
something to lose the weight he had put on became
more painful then the pain of change..
He started off with great intentions
Giving it his best ability in
Training
Nutrition
&
Mindset
to progress towards the results he wanted..
Something happened though..
Only being a few weeks in of being on point
Things started going south
He started missing coaching sessions
He wasn’t doing well in his nutrition
&
He didn’t have that spark in him I saw just
only a few weeks back..
Do to his complete 180 in attitude
I asked him several times if everything was
OK
or
If there were obstacle he was dealing with in
everyday life that was making things tough on
him..
because I know life will get in the way
and I actually care about clients overcoming
struggles when times get tough..
His persistence of this behavior kept up for
about another week and
Then I began to question his overall
commitment..
Asking him
“I’ve noticed you aren’t showing up for the
training and you aren’t as consistent with
things.. do you feel your commitment has
weaned at all in reaching your overall
goals..?”
His response:
‘Money talks..’
^far from it my friend
Listen
I do fully support the fact that getting to
where you want to go requires you to INVEST
in yourself
However, there’s 2 sides to this..
The person that INVEST and does the work to
their best ability to reach the goals they
set for themselves
And then you have the other side (I’m not
fond of this side)
The person that thinks
Just because they pay
That somehow that negates them from actually
doing anything
and that magical things will occur just
because they’re paying..
I will tell you right now
That kind of mindset will only lead to you
failing every single time (in pretty much all areas of your life)
Just because you can ‘pay’
doesn’t mean jack to me
You want someone like that
Seek out your cheap, happy clappy trainer
down the road, that will probably give you a
2 for 1 special..
&
Could care less if you show up
or actually
Get RESULTS

^ This was said by one of our elite members

See, our loved ones only want the best for us
but constantly I hear all the time how age is
the limiting factor
and the reason they can’t get into shape..
Hearing guys tell me..
‘Once you are in your
30’s..things will never be the same..’
I have no doubt that as you age so does your
body
and your ability to perform is not like
it used to be..
Could be that your joints begin to hurt maybe from
activities you might have done in the past..(or possibly the excess weight you’re carrying around..)
or
Stress levels are a lot higher because of the
constant work load..
but saying you can’t get in shape or reach
your best body ever, just because you’re a
certain age is ridiculous
To write age off as the excuse to stay out of
shape
or
Never actually make moves to do anything
about it is a simply
A cop out
Everyone within the LFIT elite crew knew this
to be a lie

Well today I share with you a man that proves
my point today..
That getting the body you want can literally
happen at any age
Even at 93.. (not joking)

After last weekend’s memorable moments..
(I got engaged just incase you’re just now
tuning in)
I received so much love from family and
friends from all over..
No, I’m not trying to get all mushy with you
(stay with me here)
From multiple messages & phone calls
The gratitude that was expressed was
priceless and I truly am grateful for those who reached out to
show us some love
Out of all of the messages though
There was one in particular that stood out to
me the most…
A guy I haven’t spoken to in a while sends me a
message saying:
“Congrats to you man..Now you don’t have to
workout anymore..”
To be fair to my friend I know he was joking
(forgot to mention the lol he sent right after)
but deep down this is the kind of mentality I
see amongst not only guys who are getting
hitched..
but Men who have been in relationships for quite
sometime
and have the following mindset
‘I’ve got my woman, she loves me for who I
am’
or
‘I’m comfortable with the way I am, I don’t
need to change..’(more on this whole comfort
thing for a later post)
^Saying all of this just because they’re in a
relationship or have been in one for quite
some time..
Which blows my mind
Of course your partner or better half loves
you for who you are
Hell, they might have even met you when you
were in a slightly chubby state..
QUIT thinking in terms of vanity
Instead try thinking in terms of living life
at your maximum potential
More Energy
More Sex
More Confidence
More Vitality (aka more POWER and better overall health)
Things that will impact your life in a BIG
way
You won’t believe how many guys I originally
speak to
that just want to finally have the
energy to not only DOMINATE at work, but come
home to those they love and still have the
energy within them to be more active
or
CONFIDENCE might not be an issue as far as
their personality goes, but the fear of
turning into every other person within their
family..
Who have let them selves go
and down the line have eventually had to rely on medication just to do everyday activities…
That’s a road they would have given anything

Push-Ups will help improve your overall performance within the gym
giving you the ability to increase your overall strength to lead
you down the path towards accelerated fat loss
and of course if you are busy or constantly on the go
they will serve justice for a quick workout
What do you do if you can’t even do 1 push-up..?
Simple
To get better at your overall push-ups start doing the following protocol over the next 28 days and you will see things improve rapidly
Follow this below

Start with 30 push ups for the first day (50 if your more advanced).
Than add 1 extra rep everyday for 28 days. So if you were to perform 30 the first day than the next day you would follow it up with 31. Simple yet very effective. The total volume you place on your chest will be outstanding.
Frequency is key for mastering push-ups
and Pull-Ups..(that’s a post for a later date)
