If You Can Commit You Can Conquer

Behold the truth:

“Our Outer world reflects our inner
commitments. If we want to know what we’re
really committed to, all we have to do is
look at our lives. We are, whether we are
aware of it or not, are always creating
exactly what we are most committed to.

The choices we make are ALWAYS in alignment
with our deepest commitments.

By examining what we have and what we dont
have.. we are able to uncover and see what we
are TRULY committed to.”

Notice it said nothing about being
motivated…

See, we live in a society that does things
based on how they feel.

“I didn’t workout today because I wasn’t
feeling motivated.”

“I didn’t implement the strategies needed to
take me to another level inside my career
because I didn’t feel like it.”

“I didn’t plan out a proper date night with
my better half because I didn’t feel like
it.”

There was a time when men found it more
POWERFUL to lead by their commitments and not
by how they felt.

I’ll have you consider the moment you give up
on feeling motivated and only focus on what
you‘re ruthlessly committed to you will begin
to see vast change inside all aspects of your
life.

So if things aren’t going well inside a
certain area of your life be willing to
double down on your commitment and show up
everyday as man who’s not about talk and is
only about action.

Because, in the end…we only get that of
which we are committed to.

Not what we desire.

Not what we need.

Not what stories we continue to tell.

This is upsetting (post)

So as I was scrolling through my feed the
other day and I came across a story that hit
me pretty hard…

Here’s the story:

SON: “Daddy, may I ask you a question?”
DAD:”Yeah sure, what is it?”
SON: “Daddy, how much do you make an hour?”
DAD: “That’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a
thing?”
SON: “I just want to know. Please
tell me, how much do you make an hour?”
DAD: “If you must know, I make $100 an hour.”
SON: “Oh! (With his head down).
SON: “Daddy, may I please borrow $50?” The father was furious.

DAD: “If the only reason you asked that is so
you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy
or some other nonsense, then you march
yourself straight to your room and go to bed.
Think about why you are being so selfish. I
work hard everyday for such this childish
behavior.”

The little boy quietly went to his room and
shut the door. The man sat down and started
to get even angrier about the little boy’s
questions. How dare he ask such questions
only to get some money? After about an hour
or so, the man had calmed down, and started
to think: Maybe there was something he really
needed to buy with that $ 50 and he really
didn’t ask for money very often. The man went
to the door of the little boy’s room and
opened the door.

DAD: “Are you asleep, son?”

SON: “No daddy, I’m awake”.
DAD: “I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you
earlier. It’s been a long day and I took out
my aggravation on you. Here’s the $50 you
asked for.”

The little boy sat straight up, smiling.

SON:“Oh, thank you daddy!” Then, reaching
under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled
up bills. The man saw that the boy already
had money, started to get angry again. The
little boy slowly counted out his money, and
then looked up at his father.

DAD: “Why do you want more money if you
already have some?”

SON: “Because I didn’t have enough, but now I
do.

“Daddy, I have $100 now. Can I buy an hour of
your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I
would like to have dinner with you.”

The father was crushed. He put his arms
around his little son, and he begged for his
forgiveness.

See, this is just a short reminder for you,
my man.

Regardless if you have kids or not…

Remember this:

Tomorrow is NEVER promised. So do what you
can today to show up every day as if it were
your last.

Remain present, connected and PROVE to those you love the most in your life that you’re the true hero that they already see you as.

And to do that effectively you first must start with YOU.

How to Win Your Morning (and take back control of your day)

Every morning you wake up, you have a choice
to make.

And, that choice will determine the rest of
your day.

Let me explain:

Whether it be checking emails, scrolling
social media or just hopping in the car
before the work day begins to go grab a quick
breakfast burrito and a cheap coffee…

Most busy men I come across are
simply waking up every morning reacting to
things instead of focusing on themselves
first.

Never realizing what it’s truly costing them.

Aside from packing on a few pounds and
feeling stressed out all the time…

It can really put a damper on your production
at work which can cause you to lose out on money or miss
out on an important opportunity.

Well…I’ll have you consider that if you
start every day by focusing on you first, then
you will have the ability to create time and
stand calm in the midst of all the chaos.

Because, when you start your day off by
reacting to things, you are no longer in
control.

You are left at the mercy of what others have
planned for you.

And, usually, what they have planned for you,
isn’t much…and will certainly not take you
in the direction, you’re looking to go.

But, all is not lost, my man.

There’s a method behind fixing this morning madness that will allow you to drop those unwanted pounds and conquer the day ahead.

It’s called habit stacking and will give you
the ability to start your day with POWER.

1.) Start with YOU

This can be easier said than done.

But your mission here is to stop being reactive to things.

Checking email, scrolling through social media, etc…

All of this kind of activity straight away leaves you powerless.

To access true power every day, consider making the first hour
of every day just for you.

Does that mean waking up earlier…it might.

But I can tell you right now, you won’t be able to show up
at your best, unless you take some non-negotiable you time.

Could be working out (which I’ll explain below), studying any kind
of reading material that can better you and those around you, or
just simply sitting in silence for 10 minutes focusing on breathing (seriously)

Starting with you first allows you to protect your own personal confidence so no matter what kind of hell you may or may not go through that day, you’ll have the edge over everyone else.

2.) For your Body it’s simple…

Start off the day with just a quick walk or
fast past workout to get your energy levels
up.

After you’re done with that have a glass of water, a greens drink, and some fish oil.

Keep it simple for now.

Even if you’re not looking to lose a ton of
weight…

Just by doing this in the morning first will
give you the energy and focus you need to
take on the day.

In too much pain to workout right away?

No worries, start your day with 5 minutes of a solid “flow” workout.

In other words, it’s called mobility and will allow you to free up any
pain or tightness you might have in certain areas of your body.

3.) Take Hold of Your Mindset

The moment we get out of bed our minds are
usually filled with chaos.

Doing some form of meditation will help this.

Now, before you check out on me, hear me out.

I’m not talking hippie stuff here, this is
meditation for producers.

Leading to less stress, more power, and more
production.

All you need is 5 to 10 minutes of sitting in
silence to calm your thoughts.

If you want to step things up a notch then consider using app headspace. (no weird chanting or sitting Indian style on a pillow is
necessary)

So there you have it, my friend.

Just a few ways to start your day with power so you can be the one to run your day instead of having it run you.

Why Holding On Fails and Letting Go Succeeds

Let it GO. (seriously)

Let go of your assumptions.

Let go of the notion that you’re so sure
things are just how they are.

Let go of things that you think are going to
BE.

Because in reality you DON’T know how things
are going to be.

Anything can happen.

And what I’ve learned in my experience is
that if you continue to try and hang onto
things that truly aren’t serving you…

Prepare to remain STUCK forever.

Because you can’t expect all new change to
occur in your life if you’re not willing to
let go of the baggage you currently have.

So today consider just letting go.

Might sound cliche…

But instead of questioning something you
currently have no true evidence of.

Be willing to start believing in the new
possibilities that lie on the other side of
your doubt.

I’m not saying to ‘hope’ about new change to
occur in your life.

I’m saying believe in the reality that you DO
have a choice to make things happen inside
your life.

And with the relentless pursuit of your hard
work and effort put forth day in and day out.

You too can experience extraordinary things.

But first you must be willing to look back.

Look back at the things that you have
accomplished thus far.

The relationships you’ve created.

The career or lifestyle you’ve earned.

The body that represents a true model of
health and well-being.

Because you can only measure what’s already
happened.

So if you’re currently not happy with where
things are at inside any areas of your life.

Figure out what has to be done.

And do whatever it takes to make it happen.

How to save time (and beat procrastination)

So as I’m writing this to you, it’s taken me
a good 15 to 20 minutes to get things going.

And, hell…

Somedays it takes me even longer.

You ever had days like this?

Even after you indulge in a strong cup of
coffee..maybe two.

An hour passes by and you still haven’t
accomplished a thing.

Well, you’re in luck, my man.

Today I’m going to drop on you some time
bombs so you can manage your time better and
CONQUER your day.

Time Hacks 101

1.) Time Yourself

Think of it like back in the day when you had
to take a test for something. Normally you were given about a solid hour to complete it
and that was it.

Well, similar concept applies here.

Except in my experience chunking things down
into small blocks works way better.

For example:

Set a Timer for 30 Minutes and once your alarm goes off…

Take a non-negotiable 5 to 10-minute break.
Walk around or do whatever you want.

This works wonders considering you and I have
the attention span of that of a goldfish. (sucks I know)

2.) Set A Deadline & Reward Yourself

You ever wonder why you get more shit done
before you go on vacation than any other
time?

It’s simply because you have a deadline that
creates urgency in you to light a fire under
your ass to get things done so you don’t have
to deal with it on vacation.

The reward, in this case, is the vacation.

But, let’s say you’re not going on vacation.

All good.

Set a fake deadline then.

Even if a certain work project
isn’t do for another 6 months. Condense time
even further and make it to where it’s a must
for you to get ahead of things in half the
time instead of waiting till the very last
minute.

Then reward yourself by doing one thing you
love the most. Could be as simple as treating yourself to
a badass action flick.

Whether it be small or big, always be willing
to celebrate your wins.

Bonus: Yes, my friend. I decided to throw a

***Focus on the ONE thing.

Often times when you’re living life in the
fast lane or producing at a high level you
need to make it a priority to cut down on your
typical ‘To Do’ List.

When you focus on one thing, this allows you
to focus on strategic moves that will take
you in the direction you need to go without
having you piss around on stuff that doesn’t
serve you or take you one step closer to your
goals.

So there you have it, my man.

Just a few tricks of the trade that I live by
to manage time and get a lot done in very
little time.
