You’re right..but here’s the truth

“Truth is like poetry, and most people
f*%*ing hate poetry.”

^little quote drop from the recent flick I
saw with my better half..

“The Big Short”

All I have to say is wow..

Don’t get me wrong it was a good flick my man

but the story was pretty upsetting

Quick low down for you here:

The housing collapse in 2008 was widely do to
the fact that with the rise of housing prices
people had to keep borrowing money…

so in order for the banks to continue to make money
themselves

They would end up selling crap loans known as
‘sub prime’ loans to buyers who couldn’t even
afford to pay them back

Pretty messed up ehh..

Basically lying to people

Giving them a false sense of reality by
telling them they could have something

When in reality they really couldn’t and in
the end

Became hurt over it

Which brings me to my point today

No matter how bad it hurts

The TRUTH will always take the REIGN for
producing the results you wish to see

See, I hear it from people all the time

I want to be back in shape and finally have
my confidence back

I want to be more fit and have more energy

Sleep better

Be able to show up for those in my life who
are closest to me

I want the real Me back..

But guess what i’ve learned..

You don’t..

Because If you really did YOU would do it..

You would get help and just do it..

You would do whatever it took

Regardless of the scenario of

‘I don’t have time’

‘I’ve already tried everything’

‘I’m fine being just fat and happy’ (deep
down..I know this is a front of how you
really feel)

This may sound harsh

But it’s the truth..

I love motivational stuff.. and most days I
show you exactly HOW you can do it..

How others have done it

But sometimes the truth helps us more

Getting called out on our own crap

Just as my coaches have pointed out to me
before

If you really wanted it you would either have
it or be working at it

And I like YOU perhaps.. wasn’t or I was
lying about my current reality

Complaining..

Blaming my situations on everyone else around
me..

and constantly making excuses

Problem is.. The only person that can change
our life is US

No matter how much you ‘hope’ for or wish
that something was different

No one is coming to save you

No one is going to do it for you

And I feel your pain I do..

I’m walking through the fire with you..

I’m doing the best I can every day to make
the vast changes I need to get what I really
want in life

And it starts with this

‘Its not about what you have to do.. but WHO
you have to become’

This is exactly what I start with amongst the

About Last Night…

This is coming to you a little late today my
friend

I’ll be honest

I was up all night putting together
the upcoming events for the LostFit
Experience

[which is launching within the next 2 weeks]

but as I was up late I got to thinking about
why it’s so difficult for others to pursue
their goals..

Me included

To really take hold and go after what they
wanted

Whether it be to take their body to the next
level..

Take their relationship to the next level..

Get a promotion or take their biz to the next
level..

All things that would require massive action

I’ll be the first to admit there’s been many
times where I said I couldn’t do something
because I thought everything was against me

“No time”

“Don’t know how”

“It would be better if I wait till
____________”

“This isn’t going to work”

“Don’t have the funds to make it happen”

“This will be just like the last time”

Thoughts like these would linger around my
head for so long

That I would become paralyzed at the thought
of even making a decision to move forward

Sound familiar?

I’m sure you’ve seen it surrounding you before

People blaming their circumstances as a
justified reason as to WHY they can’t do
something

Whether it’s the government, their job, their
family life..

You name it

It will be everyone else’s fault [not theirs]

that’s stopping them from reaching their true
potential in reaching the goals they want

It’s a horrible cycle to be on and will only
lead down the path of regret and failure

I know because I’ve been down that path and
it never ends well

So for today I’d have you consider that it’s
not your current situation that’s stopping
you

It’s your mindset..

If you don’t take control of that first

Nothing will ever come to fruition for you

On that note

I leave you with this question

Where in your life are you letting your
‘circumstances’ dictate the outcome you truly
want across all areas of your life: body,
relationships, business..?

And Your mission is this

Find the area that you know you want to go
after something and just commit that know
matter what you will pursue it

EGO

99.9% of guys think they ‘Know it All’

(yet wonder why year after year, they continue to be

“I really wanted to join a while ago, but I
first wanted to get myself in bit of shape
first”

Which sounds mental.. As that is what I do
for you..

I mean I used to say the same thing

I’ll get a coach when I’m more motivated

Though that’s one of the main benefits I knew

To be held accountable for the things I said
I would do

or

That’s basically like saying I’ll only do

Surely you must try something first before

How else would you expect to achieve anything

The very things that you are resisting are

You already know what needs to be done,

Fear feeds off time…the longer you wait to

Family member Dusty Garus posted an article
the other day inside our private coaching
group

that talked about pushing past your own
barriers

I couldn’t agree more

I can’t tell you how many times in my life
where I wanted to just throw my hands up and
surrender because things got ‘tough’

and my brain would just keep repeating over
and over

“You’re good, you don’t need to keep going”

Which then would lead me to rationalize and
justify why I failed at something

Blaming it on everyone else, but my self..

Which now brings me to ask you a question..

How’s everything going with your body, your
overall health & wellbeing…?

Be honest with me here..

Are you moving in the direction you want to
be..?

Or

Are you just covering things up..

Sedating Yourself..

You know deep down you deserve the best

That little voice of fear telling you
everything’s fine just the way it is..

or

My wife, partner or friends love me for me,
not by how I look

Ahh..that you are right my friend

but I’d have you consider that your body is
direct catalyst to all areas of your
life

How can you show up for everyone else, if
can’t even show up for yourself?

Listen, out of all the busy guys I talk to on a daily

It’s not about the abs 

Sure, they would be nice..

but those are simply surface level goals and are only a by-product of what comes by them doing the work

The WHY they’re actually doing it..

Is to be able to lead by example

A role model for their kids or colleagues 

To be the ‘fit dad’ not the ‘fat dad’

or

Simply to become a better man for their wife or partner

All of this can become a new norm for YOU as well

but you are the only one to stop that..

You can be the best version of you..

Only needing the right direction..
